They use unique signing keys for each signer, linking their identity directly to the document and allowing anyone to verify it independently with a standard PDF reader. These include:
    1. Advanced Electronic Signatures (AES): Provides strong legal validity and tamper detection
    2. Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES): Meets the highest regulatory standards (like eIDAS) and is recognised across the EU.

Do I need to convert documents to PDF before signing with SigningHub?

No. SigningHub makes it easy to sign various document types, meaning you don’t have to convert them to PDF before signing them. While SigningHub ultimately converts all uploaded documents to a secure PDF/A format for signing, it can handle a wide range of file types directly, including:

  • Native PDF: PDF and PDF/A
  • Microsoft Office: DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, and Office 365 word (2013)
  • Other document types: ODT, TXT, RTF, image files (PNG, JPG, etc), HTML, and some CAD formats
